THE AIDS VICTIMS
The Arab Libyan people since the
emergence of the El fateh great revolution, have concentrated every
and all efforts in the way to build an advanced contemporary
society. For achieving this aspired purposed, the Libyan peoples
asked the help of qualified experienced teams from different foreign
states and countries, which received all hospitality and welcome by
the opening and lovely Libyan people to resident foreigners living
on his homeland.
The Libyan-Bulgarian close relation has witness a highest level of
understanding and cooperation where thousands of Bulgarian nationals
have worked in the Great Jamahiriya in several fields and scopes
along a long term of years.
The Libyan health sector has sustained a lot of moral crimes in
particular in nursing duties sector touched the noblest known and
respected by all human convention and honor of this profession whose
team of nurses are acting to assist resident patients of hospitals,
medical care centers and clinics to alleviating and soothing their
pain to the extent that they are called as angels of mercy far away
of their own families and relatives.
But… the crime committed in one of the largest Libyan pediatric
hospitals in the second largest hospital of Benghazi city at east of
the Great Jamahiriya by 5 Bulgarian nurses (of total 18 nurses) and
a Palestinian physician against 426 Libyan children who have been
deliberately injected by AIDS virus, the bubonic plague of this
epoch, have shaken the whole world.
The accused Bulgarian nurses started their hospital duties normally
until some AIDS infection cases have been discovered and diagnosed
during July of 1998, then AIDS infection rapidly spread to reach 42
cases and developed to 80 cases became 192 cases until reaching 426
AIDS infected cases.
The hospital then, executed a laboratory analysis on infected
children parents but finding were of negative results for all of
them; the fact led the health authorities to search for another
reasons and circumstances caused by this great amount of AIDS among
children in one hospital.
The Libyan authorities asked for help from the regional office of
the international health organization in Cairo and sent infected
biopsies also made a laboratory analyzing confirmation in the
reference laboratory, which confirmed the AIDS infection.
Next, the authorities consulted the Virus discovered scientist Mr.
Lok Montabie from Pastor Institute of France and asked him how this
amount of children could have been infected in the same time and the
same hospital.
On reviewing the hospital registers, it is noted that the
hospitalized infected children were the medical care of 5 Bulgarian
nurses and a Palestinian physician. The hospital after gathering the
necessary questionnaires and data from the hospital personnel
confirmed that these nurses used the same injection ampoule
repeatedly for more than on child.
Therefore, the authorities officially accused the nurses in virtue
to the following components:
1-
Finding a
high concentration Protein Plasma in residence premises of the
nurses containing the AIDS virus (Protein given to children as part
of treatment).
2-
Confess of
nurses to have injected these children during their medical care.
The Libyan court gave the complete
opportunity to execute a very justice trial; in this direction, the
court performed the following:
1-
Enabling
the Bulgarian authorities to visit the accused nurses with complete
facilities and during investigation and the public session of the
court.
2-
Enabling a
Bulgarian lawyer to defend these nurses during the court sessions
versus rules of Libyan court and provisions of Libyan Law.
3-
Referring
the accused nurses to normal criminal court not to extraordinary
court in spite of high pressure by children families taking although
the size of the crime lying in intentional collective killing.
This intended crime is considered
one of collective crimes against human being prevented by all
legislation and rules; it reflexes an intentional crime…
The court said its just judgment versus these murders and judgment
are not against the simple Bulgarian noble people but only for
punishment of the murder.
We stress on our right in fair compensation also executing the
necessary sentence punishment in this condemned crime.
