Executive Council of African Workers Federation of Oil, Petrochemical Industries & Simili, values Leader's proposal to help African countries affected by oil high prices.

(JANA sources of 12.05.2008) The Executive Council of the African Workers Federation of Oil, Petrochemical Industries & Simili valued the Leader's proposal aiming to set practical plan to help the African countries affected by high prices of oil and supply them with energy at affordable prices to enable them realize development for their people within the African Economic Unity.

At the end of the 11th session of the council, the participants today emphasized on the right of the African people to make use of their potential resources to boost economic, social and cultural development in the African continent.

In the communiqué, the participants expressed their thanks to the Organization of African Trade Union Unity for its effective participation and support to the African Workers Federation of Oil, Petrochemical Industries & Simili.

The communiqué stressed the need to establish a data center to facilitate intercommunication among the African syndicates, calling for intensifying efforts to establish strong organizations capable of activating institutions of the Great African Union.

While holding our 11th meeting on the land of Great Jamahiriya, the headquarters of this Union, take this opportunity to express their thanks and gratefulness to you for your efforts for the sake of the African continent in order to occupy its natural position between the international blocs and spaces.

We also commend your constant endeavours to solve African conflicts away from foreign intervention. Once again, we renew our thanks and best wishes in order to continue the struggle to defend all oppressed people and endorse the causes of the continent.
