[RCM.22.02.2008] Arab masses commemorate 50th anniversary of Egypt-Syria unity First Addendum

Arab
Republics'' Union of Libya, Egypt and Syria was declared on April 17, 1971; for which, fundamental principles were unanimously decided in Benghazi. By the virtue of the Leader's efforts, draft of constitution for the Arab Republics'' Union was issued on August 20, 1971, in Damascus.

In 1972, came the project of the merger unity between Libya and Egypt that was followed by the Hassi Massoud's unitarian charter between Libya and Algeria on April 08, in the same year; then the unitarian march that started on July 18, 1972 from Ras Jder in the west to al-Salloum in the east.

Djerba declaration came on April 12, 1974, as another materialized Unitarian step, to stipulate one country for Libya and Tunisia that has common flag, presidency, army and common legislative, executive and juridical rules.

On December 28, 1975, Hassi Massoud's Declaration was signed; by the virtue of which, the Libya-Algeria Union project emanated.

The march of the nationalist unitarian struggle of the Great al-Fateh Revolution continued, where the merger unity project between Libya and Syria came on September 10, 1980.

By the virtue of the Leader of the Revolution, the Yemeni Union Charter was signed in Tripoli. The tripartite union project between Libya, North and South Yemen came on July 02, 1986, and led to realization of the Yemen unity, which was an outcome of the Great al-Fateh Revolution's unitarian struggle.

Afterwards, creation of the unitarian communities in the Arab homeland followed by the virtue of the Great al-Fateh Revolution's unitarian struggle; among of which, establishment of the Arab Maghreb Union on February 17, 1989.

In continuation of this unitarian struggle, the Libya-Sudan Integration Project came; and 10 agreements between Libya and Egypt were signed and ratified on July 07, 1991.

The Leader of the Revolution embodied, on this path, the brave revolutionary will, when he erased the gates and destroyed the false borders created by colonialism to separate the people in the Arab homeland.

On April 07, 1988, the Leader destroyed Ras Jder gate that had been separating people in Great Jamahiriya and Tunisia. On the 21th anniversary of evacuation of the British army forces and their Bases, that had been occupying Libya before eruption of the Great al-Fateh Revolution, the Leader bulldozered the false gate separating people in Libya and Egypt.

The Leader of the Revolution submitted the Arab Union project to the Kings and presidents of the Arab states; the project that was agreed on in Baghdad Summit as an optimum form that crystallized the practical projects to bring the Arab unity into reality.

Within the unitarian efforts, Great Jamahiriya became the homeland of all Arabs, which they can enter without visa to reaffirm the Arab people rights of transport, residing and ownership.

The diligent efforts of the march of the nationalist unitarian struggle of the Great al-Fateh Revolution together with the Arab masses with their people's, political, intellectual, academic, syndicate, youth and women activists concentrated, through meetings and dialogues with the Leader across the Arab homeland, on instigating these masses to embody peacefully their will represented in realization of the entire Arab unity.

Unfortunately, the Arabs missed those historic opportunities that started with establishment of the United Arab Republic, and supported by the march of the nationalist unitarian struggle of the Great al-Fateh Revolution, when the era was the era of the Nationalist state; during which, numerous nations succeeded to establish their Nationalist states.

In the era of the giant spaces and the huge entities, the Arabs, nowadays, are harvesting outcomes of the their missed opportunities in weakness and disperse.

As stressed by the Leader during his meeting with the Legislative Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee at the Arab Parliament on 13th of the current February, the Arabs are torn before the globalization and their interrelations are similar to those among the foreign countries. The Arabs are the only those who are not serious in this world as long as they continue wasting time and live for their day without paying attention to their future; as if they are not living in a world which is dramatically changing; they do not realize that there will be no places on the new map for weak and torn entities, but for the huge demographic entities with huge international competing productive capabilities.
