Tripoli-12.11.2009(JANA) Dr. Eng. Mohamed Muammar Qathafi
lined by the Secretary of the General People's Committee of
communication paid a visit the exemplary Internet flat using
optical fiber technology at Hai al Zuhoor in Tripoli.
The flat was supplied with the new technology for Internet
and communication service which will be streamlined all the
neighborhoods. The new technology provides high speed
internet services. It provided multiple uses including
Internet phone "VOIP" video conferencing and games.
Dr. Eng. Mohamed Muammar Al Qathafi asserted that the cable
and fiber optic project, which was signed in the previous
period is the most vital and strategic project for the
infrastructure, and the backbone of Great Jamahairya's
communication and information technology sector. |

Tripoli-11.7.2009(JANA) The Secretary General of of
Wa'atassimo Charity Association Dr Aisha Muammar Gaddafi and
the Resident Representative of UN Development Programme
Brian Gleeson signed in Tripoli today a partnership
agreement to establish "Muammar Abu Minyar Gaddafi School"
in Gaza as a contribution to improving education system in
Gaza as part of the reconstruction process.
The signing of agreement, part of the Association's constant
support of Palestinian children and families, was attended
by a number of Coordinators of Social People's Leaderships
in Tripoli Shabia, the CEO of Wa'atassimo, Secretary General
of the Libyan Red Crescent Society, UN Coordinator of
Refugees Affairs in Libya, association members, Palestinian
children and journalists. |

28.07.2009 (JANA) The Executive Bureau of the World Islamic
People's Leadership held Tuesday its 2nd meeting
of the year in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
The meeting which was attended by the General Secretary of
the World Islamic People's Leadership and its Executive
Bureau members discussed the agenda and the members’ reports
in their regions. It also discussed the agenda and the theme
of the 5th General Meeting of the World Islamic
People's Leadership which will be held in October in
Tripoli.
The Speaker of Indonesia's parliament Aging Laksono praised
the inauguration of the "Gaddafi Islamic Center" in Bangor
city of the western Java province. During his meeting with
the Secretary of the World Islamic Call Society Dr. Mohamed
Ahmed Al-Sharief, he esteemed the establishment of the
Islamic edifice in his country. |

07.08.2008 (JANA) Results of the Libyan National Survey for
Family Health carried out last year by the National Center
of Endemic and Contagious Disease in collaboration of
Information General Authority, Childhood Supreme Committee
and the Arab Project for Family Health at the Arab League,
were announced today in Tripoli.
Announcement of results was attended by the Secretary of the
General People's Committee for Health & Environment, the
Secretary of the General People's of the National Center of
Endemic and Contagious Disease, the Chairman and members of
Project's Supreme Committee, director of the Arab Project
for Family Health, Representative of the United Nation
Children's' Fund (UNICEF) in Great Jamahiriya, a number of
hospitals' directors and a number of experts

Tripoli-18.11.2008 JANA -The head of International
Immigration Organization Office in Great Jamahiriya Lawrence
Harth said security solutions alone cannot address the
problem of illegal immigration.
He called for introducing development projects in countries
that produce illegal immigrants. Considering the immigration
of brains was behind the lack of development in the source
countries.
Harth was addressing a workshop organized today by the
National Board of Information over a study of international
immigration and its implications on the immigration reality
in the Great Jamahiriya.
Mr. Harth provided an insight into the history of the
organization, its members and the work handled by its office
in Libya.
He said the number of immigrants in the world totaled 175
million of which 50% women. |

Women's' activists in the Great Jamahiriya commemorated
Saturday evening the International Women's Day by organizing

Congress in Tripoli Shabia and a number of secretaries of

memorandum of understanding was signed, today in Tripoli, to
establish a smart energy city in Great Jamahiriya, in a
partnership between the Social & Economical Development Fund
and the Gulf Finance House, at a total cost of $3.8 billion
as apart of the fund's activities to invest Portfolio of
Investment pertaining families deprived form the public
wealth.
The memorandum was signed by the Secretary of Administrative
Committee of the Social & Economical Development Fund in
Great Jamahiriya and the Chairman of the Gulf Finance House. |

Qathafi
International Foundation for Charitable Associations and
Development in collaboration with Libya Fund for Aid and
Development in Africa affiliated with GPC for Foreign
Liaison and International Cooperation and Libyan Red
Crescent Society began an air lift of humanitarian aid to
brothers in the Republic of Chad.
Libyan cargo plane has left Benina International Airport
loaded with the second shipment of humanitarian aid
consisting of (40) tons of relief aid comprising a fully
equipped field hospital, medicines and blankets.
The first shipment of air cargo has left Benina Airport
Monday evening loaded with aid supplies provided by the
Libyan people to their Chadian brothers to alleviate the
suffering caused by the events that Chad has witnessed
recently. |

The
families, who have received their profits of the investment
portfolio within the framework of distributing the public
wealth program to those families that were deprived of this
wealth, sent a cable to the leader of the Revolution
expressing their great pride of the Leader's creative
initiative and his care about the march of humanitarian
work.
The families renewed, in their cable to the leader, their
firm pledge to safeguard the revolution and the gains
realized for the Libyan people in all aspects of life,
reaffirming their readiness to preach the Jamahiri Green
Thought and to take part in bringing about social justice.
These beneficiary families conveyed compliments of love and
loyalty from Musrata, the city of Jihad that had the honor
of embracing the leader when he was a student which is proud
of him as revolutionary and leader. |
