The time of the national state is over. The national state is receding before larger blocs. Do not entertain the ambition to live as a national state unless that was an American protectorate, a Chinese protectorate or a European protectorate. Any protectorate has no future. But if you like to be protectorates, then remain protectorate, it is up to you! Damas, march 29, 2008; Muammar Al Qathafi.

[RCM.09.08.2008]Tunis: Leader's communication during the Debate with Tunisian Intellectuals.

The Leader of the Revolution spoke at the intellectual gathering, drawing attention to the paradox in the general framework, which is supposed to contain all the bewildering questions that were presented on the Arab backwardness in the era of technology and informatics revolution, the influence of globalization on the Arab world, unity and culture; and the questions on the Maghreb Union, reaching to African unity.

The leader explained that all of those questions focused on two things; the first, is moral, culture, development, culture, cultural partnership and taking interest in Arab culture and so on; the second, is the material block of the gathering or the Arab community.

"If we talk about the general framework, which is supposed to contain all of these bewildering questions, we will find a paradox in the framework itself. All of you talked, from the beginning, about the Arab backwardness, the era of technology and informatics revolution, the influence of globalization on the Arab world, the Arab unity and the Arab culture. You also talked about the Maghreb Union and the African Union as well. What you have said focused on two things, the moral and material.

When we talk about the moral thing; that means we talk about culture, cultural development, the cultural partnership, taking interest in the Arab culture and so on.

The material side of this medium, or the Arab gathering, united or not; divided or not; backward or not; colonized or not and so on.

When we say words like video, television, radio, telephone, transistor, computer or any other terms, which are commonly used nowadays, they might not be understood when we say them in Arabic. Now all children talk about DVD or CD and other things, which we ourselves don't know of them.....(More)

The Green Book
The Thinker Muammar Al Qathafi does not present his though for simple amusement or pleasure. Nor is it for those who regard ideas as puzzles for the entertainment of empty-minded people standing on the margin of life. Qathafi's ideas interpret life as it erupts from the heart of the tormented, the oppressed, the deprived and the grief-stricken. It flows from the ever-developing and conflicting reality in search of whatever is best and most beautiful. Part One of the Green Book heralded the start of the era of the Jamahiriyat (state of the masses). Part Two inaugurated an international economic revolution which does away with the old economic structures and brings them down on the heads of the exploiters. Part three of the Green Book launches the social revolution. It presents the genuine interpretation of history, the solution of man's struggle in life and the unsolved problem of man and woman. Equally it tackles the problem of the minorities and the blacks in order to lay down the sound principles of social life for all mankind. The living philosophy is inseparable from life itself and erupts from its essence. It is the philosophy of Muammar Al Qathafi.
